A horse show, Rita's, and golf

Yesterday we did something we've never done before - went to a local horse show. All the horses were so pretty, I couldn't decide which one was my favorite. The show consisted of the horses with their riders, walking around the ring near the fence. A caller would say either walk, lob, trot or canter and they would have to do what was said. Sometime they would have them turn around and walk the other way or walk backwards for a certain amount of steps. The horses also did a little jumping, but it was very low jumps - only 2 feet. The riders were all ages and though mostly female there were a few males too.

Though I cut the head of this horse off I wanted to show you this tiny little girl riding this big horse. She sat so straight way up on that horse. She won a couple of the events too. It was amazing to see such a little girl controlling that horse!!

On the way home from the horse show we stopped at Rita's for a treat.

Ken had lemon ice and I had a chocolate ice cream/ raspberry lemonade gelatis, which is my favorite - Yummy!!!

I took this picture of the Beech tree on my walk around the lake this morning. I just like how big and tall it is. This is next to the tree telling all about it.

Ken took the day off from work so we could go on the base and get my ID renewed. The place we had to go and do this was no longer in the old place and it took us some time to find the new place. We did find it though and now I'm set for another 4 years. Our next stop was the golf driving range and we each got a bucket of balls and hit them out into the range. We tried golf many years ago and we are no better at it now than we were then. It was fun though and Ken thinks with some lessons I have some potential. I don't really think it's for me though. Don't know yet what the rest of the day will bring, but I'm sure you will be hearing about it what ever it will be. :-) Till next time then..... Have a happy day. Happyone :-)
